TheFinale of Blogger posts

In a few weeks I am deleting this blog... It is just too hard to keep everything up, so I am going to start afresh at flickr and just stick there. I can add photos and I can post stuff about me so that's what I am going to do. my Flickr Page is... I will try to do better about getting a daily pic or at least semi-daily pic up.

Volleyball :)

Luke, Andrea, Nikki, Abbie, John, Sarah, Nate, Matt, Shane and Bryan.
We are the KAMAKAZIES! (not shown, Lisa, Steve, and Geo)

We had a lot of fun playing volleyball this semester. Our team was pretty big which made the fun and crazyness ROCK! We lost all but 2 of our games, so we didn't get to play in the championship, but it was fun. Great stuff I tell you! To the left you have Matt and Steve being Matt and Steve, and to the right you have Shane Enderle.

Just so you know in this picture we were "guests"

*sigh*

Sorry, I haven't posted in AGES.... Not a lot happening here though... I was on crutches for 2 weeks, and I was sick, last week I had projects and midterms which basically made me be Ms. Hermit for the entire week. Now things are back to normal....Today I had to give a presentation for my Philosophy of Science Education. I was really nervous especially since I didn't know I was supposed to give an oral report (I just thought we had to write the paper) So I gave my presentation off the cuff... and knocked their socks off. One of the girls in my group, looked at me afterwards and said "you never cease to amaze me!" Then afterward Dr. Corrick (my professor in AGMET) told me what he thought of me presentation.. he said he was very impressed and looked forward to reading my paper. I was all sorts of excited about that. Sometimes I get in this groove of medeocrity and forget how rushing it is to absolutely excel in something... it's a nice feeling... Well ok, sorry for the bragging, but honestly, it was because of God's grace alone that I made it through that presentation... because 1. I have never taken any Dr. Corrick classes, so I had no clue what I was even supposed to do, and 2. I was chosen to be the first person to give my philosophy... I spent the entire intro PRAYING and then when it came time to give my presentation I was sooo not ready.. But God was faithful and helped me through it. PRAISE HIM PRAISE HIM!!!!

MSO...

Last night was great, Justina and I went to "Latin Passions" at the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. It was a good time of dressing up, and visiting. On the way there Tina read most of the way and I day dreamed, then we got there and noted that there was a Starbucks right across the street... Then we went in and had Jen (Justina's ex roomy) wait in line with her student ID to get a ticket for Justina cuz She forgot her ID and She didn't sign up in time to have the school get a ticket. We had 4 minutes til performance by the time Jen got the ticket, then we had to rush up 5 flights of stairs to get to the balcony before the show. We sat down just in time to watch another couple sit down 2 seats over from us. The music began, it was georgeous. Then Jen nudges me in the middle of the 1st moventment... she says "hey Nikki, check out the couple..." I could best describe it as a car wreck.... It wasn't like I wanted to keep looking, I just couldn't stop, I mean, you could see that kind of behaviour from someone who was like, oh 16 or something but this 40 + year old couple were MAKING OUT at the symphony. It was horrible!!!!! (ly funny) Anyway during intermission they left, don't exactly know where they went to, but anywho... After the production was done everyone started to stand up to clap... Jen, Justina and I decided to book it out of there and run across the street to starbucks before the bus came to pick us up. We got our coffee... ran across the street again and made it back in time to not only meet the bus, but also to have most of our coffee drank before the bus came, it was Great fun! On the way home Justina and I had a really nice conversation. I am so glad I got to spend the weekend with her. =)

Isaiah 26:3

"But Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, who's mind is stayed upon Thee because he trusteth in Thee." What a blessing that verse has been to me these past few days. There is no way I should be functioning right now, but miraculously I have a peace about me that passes all understanding. I never thought that in time of great trial and testing I would be able to be soo calm and rational... Someone told me recently that I was strong... but the truth is I am not strong at all... "I" am weak, "I" am wicked, "I" am hopeless... but God... God is Strong, God is Good, and God is my hope... in my weakness is His strength made perfect. Without that promise, I do not know where I would be right now. How Amazing is my God!

Spam!

Well it was quite the ride, It normally takes us about 10 hours to get from My place to school, but today we decided that since we were not in a hurry to get back, we'd have some fun on the way. Haha, every time we drive the interstate to and from school, we see these signs advertising the "SPAM MUSEUM" we're always curious, and have always wanted to stop, but decide not to... today we curved our common since and stopped. LOL it was great!!! If anything it was cool just for the pictures... I really could care less for the whole "history of spam" thing, but it was quite the stop. I even bought a suvineer... A Teeshirts(It says "I think therefore I SPAM" ) and a little stuffed pig that has a collar that says "spam" on it... Great stuff lemme tell you, and I don't even like SPAM!!!! Anywho, we made it back to school safe and sound and I am basking in my unorganized mess of a temporary room!!! It feels good to be back!
